Best Time for Newborn Photography
The ideal time for newborn photography is within the first 5 to 14 days after birth. During this period, babies are still very sleepy, curly, and easy to pose, which helps create those peaceful, snuggly images everyone loves. Their delicate features, tiny toes, and fresh newborn expressions are best captured during this short window — before growth spurts and increased alertness begin.
If you've missed this timeframe, don’t worry — beautiful images are still possible with older babies too, just with a slightly different, more natural approach.
